Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Market Supervision Administration jointly issued the "Electrical Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (2021-2023). The "Plan" proposes that by 2023, the annual output of high-efficiency and energy-saving motors will reach 170 million kilowatts, and the proportion of high-efficiency and energy-saving motors in service will reach more than 20%. The annual electricity saving is 49 billion kWh, which is equivalent to the annual saving of 15 million tons of standard coal and the reduction of 28 million tons of carbon dioxide.
