Project Introduction
In recent years, Myanmar's economic growth has been driven mainly by the agricultural sector. The local government sector has also given high priority to investment in agricultural infrastructure development.
The challenge:
The problem of energy and water sources is one of the most important issues many countries are faced with. Around more than 30% agricultural pumps are not available to connect with grid electricity due to poor power facilities. And 50% farms cannot get well irrigated because of poor water conservancy infrastructure. Nowadays the cost of diesel is rapidly increasing,so the cost of maintenance on diesel generator pump system is very high. It is urgent and important to find a sustainable way for agricultural irrigation.
The solution:
Solar powered water pump technology is a very good solution to agricultural irrigation. The system consists of 3kW solar array,2.2kW pump inverter and 2.2kw pump and provides 2m³/h water for irrigation.

The result:
The whole system is built by the lake. It is powered by solar power. It operates automatically and requires no manual monitoring or batteries. It saves electricity and fuel costs compared to homeowners who used to pump water through municipal electricity or diesel generation. In addition, solar power is green, non-polluting and low-noise, in line with the quiet and comfortable rural life that homeowners aspire to.
