Project Introduction
In June 2022, the SI23 series 2.2kW solar water pumping system was successfully installed in a village in Lopburi, Thailand. The project was invested by the local government for irrigating rice fields.
The Challenge:
The problem of energy and water sources is one of the most important issues many countries are faced with. Around more than 30% agricultural pumps are not available to connect with grid electricity due to poor power facilities. And 50% farms cannot get well irrigated because of poor water conservancy infrastructure. Nowadays the cost of diesel is rapidly increasing,so the cost of maintenance on diesel generator pump system is very high. It is urgent and important to find a sustainable way for agricultural irrigation
The Solution:
Solar powered water pump technology is a very good solution to agricultural irrigation. The system consists of 4kW solar array,2.2kW pump inverter and 2.2kw pump and provides 5m3/h water for irrigation.
Project Products:
Pump:
Rated Power: 2.2kW
Rated Voltage: 380VAC 3 Phase
Rated Current: 6A
Rated Frequency: 50Hz
Rated RPM: 2920RPM
Solar Pump Controller:
Drive Brand /Model:VEICHI / SI23-D5-2R2G-A
Rated Power/Current: 2.2kW/6A
Rated Output: 380VAC 3 Phase
Input Voltage Range: 250VDC –780VDC
Solar Array:
Solar Array:14Pcs
Total Power:4000W
Total Voc:720VDC
The Result:
The scope of the project included the supply and installation of six VEICHI SI23 series solar water pumping systems, which can provide 40 cubic meters per day at a water head of 80 m. The VEICHI pumping systems do not require batteries. The solar generator supplies the pumps during the day and can be switched to grid power at night if necessary to meet the 24-hour operation of the pumps.
