Project Overview
Site: A farm in the desert
Date: June 2018
Location: Bangkok Province, Thailand
Industry: Agricultural Irrigation, Fruit Tree Irrigation
Project scope: To develop a new series of solar pumps with the help of VEICHI solar pump drives
VEICHI deliveries: Solar PV module array, SI20 solar pump drive, a motor
Project Introduction
Veichi SI20-D5 series 2.2kW solar water pump system was successfully installed in a village in Loburi, Thailand. The project is invested by the local government to irrigate paddy fields.
The challenge:
The problem of energy and water sources is one of the most important issues many countries are faced with. Around more than 30% agricultural pumps are not available to connect with grid electricity due to poor power facilities. And 50% farms cannot get well irrigated because of poor water conservancy infrastructure. Nowadays the cost of diesel is rapidly increasing,so the cost of maintenance on diesel generator pump system is very high. It is urgent and important to find a sustainable way for agricultural irrigation
The solution:
Solar powered water pump technology is a very good solution to agricultural irrigation. The system consists of 4.8kW solar array,2.2kW pump inverter and 2.2kw pump and provides 3m³/h water for irrigation
