In May 2022, the VEICHI solar pump system was successfully installed on a farm in Egypt.
The Challenge:
The problem of energy and water sources is one of the most important issues many countries are faced with. Around more than 30% agricultural pumps are not available to connect with grid electricity due to poor power facilities. And 50% farms cannot get well irrigated because of poor water conservancy infrastructure. Nowadays the cost of diesel is rapidly increasing,so the cost of maintenance on diesel generator pump system is very high. It is urgent and important to find a sustainable way for agricultural irrigation.
The Solution:
Solar powered water pump technology is a very good solution to agricultural irrigation. The system consists of 226.8kW solar array,160kW pump inverter and 160kw pump and provides 145m3/h water for irrigation.

The Result:
The smallholder only needs to pay a small proportion of the down payment to the dealer and pay the installment every month as agreed. After one year, he can fully own the solar water pump system. Previously, due to the lack of irrigation system, the irrigation of the farm mainly depended on precipitation. When the dry season comes, crops often die due to lack of water when they are about to mature. With this solar water pump system, customers no longer have to worry about the irrigation of Egypt fields.
